Each season, fashion trends are inspired by the current environmental, social and technological discoveries. The industry itself is put under pressure to rethink its values and transform its practices, while preserving its creativity and craftsmanship.

Fashion is in a state of “Metamorphosis”.

The Spring Summer 2025 season is in full transformation. Inspired by flora and fauna, the season revolves around the idea of mutation and metamorphosis, just as a chrysalis state. In a way, the season restores the senses of aesthetics, creativity and long-term durability.

 

Color Direction: The Bold Approach

The idea of total transformation is accentuated with the choice of color palettes full of contrasts and harmonies. Lights, solar powers and over expositions infuse the palette with clarity and luminosity.

According to WGSN, Future Dusk, Navy Blue, is the color of the year. A deep blue-violet shade that creates depth and enigma.

With that, colors such as Pastel Turquoise, Banana Cream, Spiced Coral and Lotus are put together to evoke ambiguity, movement and contrast.

 

Fabrication, Trims & Details

In the idea of transformation, we find rustic feel fabrics with natural finishes and perceptive imperfections  and veins. Linen and two-tone cotton blends are a perfect example of this rustic tactility.

The seersucker fabric is back for Spring Summer 2025, and this time used in cotton, linen and hemp, with fine texture embracing transparency and fluidity.

For couture as well as pret-a-porter, intricate laces are detailing the garments. Wether floral, arabesque, abstract or even geometrical, they are kept airy, soft and transparent.

Embroidered appliqués are also in trend this season, and they are specially applied on shirts, pants and skirts to give a unique look.

Just as the “Glass Skin” trend is on the rise on Instagram and TikTok, it finds itself part of the Spring Summer 2025 gloss. Denim, leather but also silkies and cottons are given a lacquered finish.

 

Prints and Patterns

The idea of Mutation transforms all the prints and patterns of the season, just as movement is captured in the moment.

Pleats are distorted, smocking and embossing are heavily textured and transparent, just like a new skin in the making.

Reptiles and fish skins are put under the microscope and transformers into an abstract pattern on embroidery, jacquards and even laser cutouts.

Colors are put together just like a watered-down, diluted on a canva. Bleached with high contrast, or even blurred, the prints are bridging between abstract and figurative.

Iridescent finish continues from Fall Winter 2024-2025, and becomes lighter and illuminated for summer. The shiny iridescent veil is applied on denim, linen and even leather.

Animal motifs and landscapes are simplified to the point of abstraction, using a limited number of colors and shapes.

 

Key Silhouettes

The idea of bridging aesthetics and comfort brings closer Iconic sportswear and urban tailoring. Sports bras are mixed with formal trousers, while sheer blouses and structured modern blazers are mixed with leggings.

Much of the detailing is intricately made in the back, from straps, embroideries, studs etc. making the piece simple from the front. The codes of embellishment are changing and reflecting a new creativity. 

Volume is redefined with sheer textures and iridescent veils. Silhouettes are transformed into a whimsical creature with a new light, soft and vibrant skin.

 

Key Accessories

Tinted ombré accessories blend seamlessly from one hue to another, creating a soft, gradient effect that adds a touch of elegance and depth to any look.

Rustic distressed effects add a touch of vintage charm and character. Featuring weathered finishes, chipped paint and aged textures, these pieces evoke a sense of history and warmth.

Accessories are made to enhance volume, fullness or density making the piece appear more opulent and substantial. The use of materials like resin or glass gives jewelry a bold yet elegant appeal.

Whether polished for a sleek finish or intricately engraved for a unique touch, metal excellence accessories blend strength with elegance, making them a perfect choice for those who appreciate fine craftsmanship and modern aesthetics.
